Photo storage for photographers
Choose a mode for each event
PicSpot only keeps your event media on PicSpot. Mirror to Drive keeps your PicSpot gallery and adds a copy in your Google Drive. Drive only stores event originals in your Google Drive.
Decided once, when you create the event
Storage is part of creating an event. Once the event exists, its storage choice is shown on the event’s edit page but can’t be changed, so pick it before you start uploading.
Several Google accounts, one default
Connect more than one Google account and choose which one new events use by default. When you create an event, pick a specific account or let PicSpot choose the one with the most free space.
Space you can see
Cloud Storage shows each account’s used and free space and how many PicSpot items it holds. It points out accounts that need reconnecting and drives that are at least 90% full.
Questions photographers ask
Can I change an event’s storage after creating it?
No. Storage is chosen when you create an event. Afterwards, the event’s edit page shows the choice, but it can’t be changed.
Do I need a Google account?
Only for Mirror to Drive and Drive only. PicSpot only needs nothing extra.
Does uploading work differently with Google Drive?
No. You upload photos to the event the same way whichever storage you choose.
Can I connect more than one Google Drive?
Yes. Connect several Google accounts in Cloud Storage and set one as the default for new events. For each new event you can pick an account, or choose Auto to use the one with the most free space.
How do I connect Google Drive?
In your PicSpot account, open Cloud Storage and choose Connect Google Drive. You sign in with Google, then return to PicSpot.
What happens to my files if I disconnect a drive?
Disconnecting a drive never removes files already stored in Google Drive.
